David Moore

David Moore has over 25 years of trial experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in highly complex cases in almost every aspect of the law.  He has handled construction cases as large as $35 million in damages, and participated in the longest jury trial in Williamson County history resulting in a verdict in favor of his client in a highly complex construction case.  He was involved on the cutting edge of the development of bad faith law in Texas, with 2 cases argued in the Texas Supreme Court that are still studied in Texas law schools as landmark decisions in bad faith.  He has been extensively involved in litigating real estate and title disputes on behalf of the insureds of title insurance companies.  He has extensive experience with cases involving products liability; probate; bonding and suretyship; wrongful termination, discrimination and sexual harassment; divorce and family matters; personal injury and wrongful death; business disputes involving partnership and corporate disputes; mold cases; contract disputes; intellectual property; and insurance bad faith.  He has been a full time mediator at Lakeside Mediation Center for over 5 years.

David is listed in The Bar Registry of Pre-Eminent Attorneys in construction law, earned an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and is a Credentialed Mediator by The Texas Mediator Credentialing Association.  He has served as President of the Central Texas Chapter of the Association of Attorney Mediators and Vice-Chairman of the Construction Law Section of the Austin Bar Association. David graduated from Baylor Law School, where he was editor of The Baylor Law Review.  He is a frequent and highly rated speaker at legal seminars.

Since joining Lakeside Mediation Center, he has become heavily involved in family law cases. He has taught hundreds of couples how to constructively resolve conflict in their marriages, regularly teaches a class at Lakeside Mediation Center “Choosing Wisely Before You Divorce,” and has counseled individually with scores of couples on saving their marriages.  When marriages fail, he brings the same approach to mediation and has demonstrated an ability to defuse hostility and foster a cooperative attitude, which is essential for the well being of children of the marriage. He is a licensed minister at Gateway Community Church.
